16 years after the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon, or the so-called 9/11 events, there are still some harsh scenes that are difficult to see today.
With the memory of these events, everyone sees the images of the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center and the resulting harsh scenes
During the attack, four civilian commercial transport planes were diverted and targeted to hit specific targets, three of which were successful, hitting the US Department of Defense and the Commerce Department in Manhattan.
Nearly 3,000 people were killed and thousands injured and sick from inhaling smoke and toxic fumes
The 11 September Memorial Museum was built in downtown Manhattan, celebrating the Human History of the Events, and has received more than 10 million visitors since its opening in 2014.
But the documented images of these events remain shocking. Several US newspapers have received a barrage of criticism and complaints about publishing some images that many see as “an insult to the victims
One of the most memorable images is the one that shows many jumping from the top of the North Tower, where the fire in that building was more intense. Witnesses then said that some tried to use curtains or tablecloths as umbrellas.
Perhaps the most tragic thing is that it is still unclear exactly how many people died as a result of the jump from the top of the two buildings, since the authorities have not been able to recover or identify the remains of the victims
